Google Chrome Cracking Down on HTTP

Google Chrome Cracking Down on HTTP

Google has made its second announcement leading up to its October security upgrade, this time by email. All webmasters with websites using forms on HTTP pages (as opposed to HTTPS) received an email this week alerting them that beginning in October 2017, these pages will be marked “not secure” in Chrome 62.In the email, Google writes, “Beginning in October 2017, Chrome will show the ‘Not secure’ warning in two additional situations: when users enter data on an HTTP page, and on all HTTP pages visited in Incognito mode.”The email was brief but informative. Google authorities let webmasters know where they would need to update HTTP to HTTPS on their sites, as well as how to do so.You can read Google’s take on the changes here.Contact KitelyTech today to discuss the details of how we can add value to you and your online business.Phone: (800) 274 2908Email: info@kitelytech.comImage Credit : Pixabay.com
