A lesson called for a video that was not on the district's approved list, and instruction stopped. The unblock request went into the same queue as a multi-day infrastructure project, with no way to signal that a class was blocked right now. Requests sat for hours or days, and by then the teachable moment had passed.
A custom cloud platform that orchestrates the district's existing filtering and help desk systems rather than replacing them. Teachers request temporary, time-bound access scoped to the class period and limited by grade band, subject, and building based on verified role; grants expire on their own schedule rather than waiting for someone to revoke them. Every request is checked in real time against Board policy, student-safety rules, and FERPA, COPPA, and state student-data-privacy requirements before access is granted, and every grant is logged. An URGENT path captures location, device, and issue type and notifies the right technician with required acknowledgment. An AI knowledge assistant absorbs repetitive how-to questions, escalating what it cannot resolve. Time-to-resolution for classroom-blocking issues dropped from hours to minutes for the majority of urgent escalations, and routine help desk volume fell substantially.
CRM platform migration

The CRM had reached end of support and had to go, but it was not standalone: integrations ran through it and several dependent systems and databases read from it. Every one of those was a dependency that could break quietly during a migration and surface weeks later, in a report that had simply stopped matching.
A full migration from Dynamics CRM 8.2 with Scribe to Dynamics 365 with SSIS, replacing the dependent systems and databases and re-integrating every data source into the new platform. The integration layer moved with the CRM rather than after it, which is what kept the dependencies intact. The university moved off an unsupported platform without losing a data source on the way.

Legacy database remediation

The database generated duplicate records, and complex record requirements made them hard to catch: the same subscriber could exist under various names, addresses, or identifiers without any two rows matching exactly. Finance saw the consequences first, in subscriber counts that would not reconcile and invoicing that didn't match reality.
Custom logic and technical rules built into the database itself that uniquely identify potential duplicates rather than relying on exact matches, eliminate the existing ones, and stop new duplicates from being generated. Cleaning the records without fixing what generated them would have brought the problem back within a year, so both halves shipped together. Financial reporting reconciles because the records underneath it finally match.

AI-driven student retention analytics platform

At-risk students surfaced when an advisor happened to notice, through manual review across systems that didn't talk to each other. The intervention window had usually closed by then, most often for first-year undergraduates.
An AI-driven predictive analytics platform on a secure managed private cloud: automated ingestion across student systems, machine learning risk scoring on GPA trends, engagement, registration patterns, and financial indicators, and role-based advisor dashboards with intervention lists, all under FERPA-compliant access controls. Scoring is retrained against each new cohort, because a model tuned to last year's students quietly stops working. Advisors see risk while there is still time to act on it.

Academic citation tracking system

Citation counts are academic currency, and the university's data on them was unreliable enough to matter.
A custom citation tracking solution built on Azure API Management and online research repositories, keeping citation data accurate against the sources rather than reconciled after the fact.
