THE PROBLEM

An automotive dealer group runs a white glove short term rental program for OEMs and Tier One suppliers doing competitive research. Customers drive, inspect, and often disassemble the vehicles. Every rental carries its own specification, support level, delivery window, mileage allowance, and price, and several departments order at once against one shared credit balance. The dealer group originally ran the program by phone and email, with no shared view of what vehicles were already scheduled for delivery.

WHAT WE BUILT

KitelyTech ran a code audit of the existing platform in parallel with requirements gathering, then redesigned, refactored, and upgraded the application on a current .NET and Vue.js stack. The rebuilt portal guides a customer through cascading selection across 6 model years, 17 makes per year, and up to 11 trim levels per model, drawn from the client's vehicle data source. The application carries each request through a proposal and order workflow from request to revised to approved to delivered and returned, and adds a delivery calendar, role-based access for owners, admins, and users, and event-triggered notifications.

A custom fabrication manufacturer ran on handwritten orders. Several thousand dealers across 26 states, more than 300 contractor installation teams, and no shared system between them. When a dealer asked where an order stood, nobody at headquarters could say. 

Site visits first, then a full scoping and engineering phase, then a custom ERP running the operation end to end: mapping and dispatch integrations across a 26-state install footprint, a 3D product configurator built for their catalog, process automation, and executive dashboards that drill from a number down to the order behind it. Workflow efficiency improved by over 225%. 

Inventory, projects, and finance each needed a system, and the crews in the field needed all three. Off-the-shelf ERPs covered some of it, none of it well, and none of it where the work happens.

A comprehensive custom ERP for inventory, project, and finance management, paired with an iOS and Android field app. The field app works without a reliable connection and reconciles when it restored, which is the difference between a field tool and a demo. Crews and the back office work from one system instead of reconciling two.

An AI-enhanced MES built on the manufacturer's existing infrastructure with secure data pipelines and an AI layer on top: real-time machine data feeds predictive models for maintenance and waste optimization, so the system that runs the floor also improves it. 

HelpDesk, infrastructure, environment, and finance and HR requests each moved through their own channel at a major auto manufacturer. Responses ran late, follow-up often never came, and no measurement existed to manage service quality across any of it.
